Hang Gliding Tandem Flight (Boat Tow)
Experience the thrill of a Tandem Hang Glider Flight over beautiful
Georgian Bay and take in the breathtaking birds' eye view of Wasaga
Beach, the longest freshwater beach in the world!
After a short boat ride out into the bay you'll be strapped into your
harness under the watchful eye of your pilot, two-time Canadian Hang
Gliding Champion Mark Bourbonnais. Mark has also represented Canada at
two World competitions as well as flying off the CN Tower, so you're in
great hands!
Once you're all set, Mark will signal the boats driver to pick up speed
until it's
time for take off, and then you're away... the winch will gradually pay
out line until you reach your preferred altitude. Your pilot will then
release the line and you will fly free, soaring above the bay with
nothing but beautiful views in every direction. Once your flight
is almost over your pilot will steer the glider safely down to the water
for a
gentle landing on the glider's pontoons.

Deluxe hang gliding ( ultralight tow )
If you think towing up to 2500' behind the boat is exciting, wait till you try ultralight towing!
We will pick you up at your location ( if your around the Georgian triangle area ), or you can meet us at the Arthur tow site. The Hang Glider towing is right close to the York Soaring Club so once we release from the tow we then start our search for lift. Typically this is in the form of rising columns of warm air called thermals. Once we spot another hang glider circling or a sailplane or even a red tail hawk, we high tail it to join them in the lift. It's really exciting to be circling in the same thermal, right next to other hang gliders as well as sail planes and red tail hawks.
